Speaker at the Brigitte Symposium in Essen

At the Brigitte Symposium under the heading “My Life, My Job & I,” I held a speech in the “My Job” category about innovation in front of around 80 women from various industries. Many participants told me afterwards that they come across very outdated structures in their companies that are impediments to innovation and employee commitment. With the help of my approaches presented during my speech, they identified a lot of potential to change their situation.

My speech focused on the following themes:

  • Team goals instead of individual goals
  • Self-organized, cross-functional teams
  • Iterative procedures instead of waterfall projects
  • Testing of assumptions of the new business model to reduce financial risks
  • Serving leader instead of command and control

The event was held in cooperation with AmazonAcademy at the Kolosseum in Essen, Germany, under the aegis of Dr. Franziska Giffey, German Federal Minister for Family Affairs. Klick the link below to get some impressions of the event.
